What I Shot | January | Whitney Beth Photography | Utah Family + Senior Photographer
Whew! Welcome to February! Anyone else feel like January was 500 days long? It felt like that for me! This year I want to start doing little shot recaps of what I’ve been up to that month. I think it’ll be fun to see the growth as well as keep tabs on everything I’m working on.
January started off with a bang with two shoots in the first week! I got to try out shooting at Studio Gloss in Provo with a photoshoot of my two younger boys, as well as my foster niece. (Sister in law’s foster daughter) Since I can’t share images online of my foster niece for safety, I only blogged my boys’ session. At the end of the shoot with my sister in law and her foster daughter I grabbed a few pictures of them together. It wasn’t planned, but I just couldn’t pass up the chance to capture them together against that pink wall.

After those two sessions in a warm studio, I headed out to the literally freezing and windy Potato Hill and Draper LDS temple for a family session and baptism session. The kids were troopers and we made the most of the 20 minutes we were out shooting. (You can see the rest of those pictures on my Robbins family client feature blog post.) Lily’s Baptism pictures will be tomorrow’s blog post, so check back then!

And wrapping up the month of shoots was Lily’s senior pictures! We had a blast in the snowy mountains and I can’t wait to get these guys up on the blog for her feature shoot!

And that wraps up the fullest January calendar I’ve had in my time as a photographer! It was a perfect pace after the craziness of fall and the end of year. I can’t wait to see what February brings!
