Draper Temple Baptism Session | Lily | Whitney Beth Photography
What can I say about this fire cracker of a niece? Lily is one of the sweetest, most loyal and fun little eight year olds you will meet. She is so headstrong and knows exactly what she wants. She is always one of the firsts to complement me on my lipstick or notice my nails on the rare occasion they are done. I’m pretty sure she’s the only one of all my nieces and nephews to not only ask me why I have braces, but what they are for and why I need them. I love watching her grow up to be her independent little self.
She has chosen to be baptized, just like her big brother. And just like big brother, wanted pictures are her favorite temple. She chose the Draper LDS temple. Despite the cold and wind, we were blessed with a beautiful sunset and golden light. It was the best time walking around the grounds with Lil and her mom. We hung out and talked and got to have some special, one on one, aunt and niece time. Which is a big deal, considering the size of our family!
Lil was so excited to wear her dress that an older cousin of hers wore for her baptism. She also got to wear brand new shoes that were lovingly picked out with the plan to let all her younger sisters wear for their baptisms. But the most exciting thing of all was the lipstick she got to wear for her picture. One of my favorite memories of Lily is when she got caught going through an older cousin’s makeup bag. She came out of the room with her best application of mascara, eye liner, eyeshadow, lipstick… basically anything she could get open in the short time she had all to herself.
I’m so happy I got to take her baptism photos to mark such a special occasion in her life. Enjoy my favorites from the shoot!
