Oregon Summer 22 | Whitney Beth Photography
Now that we have some sort of routine, I was able to get around to editing our Oregon pictures. In a whirlwind of a trip Danny and I drove through the night on a Friday and pulled into my grandma’s driveway early Saturday morning. It was a quick trip, with us leaving the following Wednesday, but we packed it in! We were able to do all our favorite things and then some new favorite things, starting with pulling into Multnomah falls at around 6:30 am and having it nearly all to ourselves!
We saw lots of family, visited the temple grounds, ate at our favorite food places, went fishing and had a couple of beach days! By the end of the trip we were exhausted. This was originally planned to be Danny and I’s anniversary getaway, but when we realized this was the only time Danny could get off during summer break, we decided to make it a family affair. (with the plan to take a weekend to ourselves once school starts up.) The kids had a blast and didn’t want to leave. In fact, they didn’t want to leave so badly that we had nearly a 2-3 hour delay in driving home to Utah on Wednesday. I ended up driving from the Oregon/Idaho boarder allllll the way to our driveway, where we rolled in around 2 am. 100% worth it to be able to show my kids where I grew up and get them to love the things I loved as a little girl.
