I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, and I think it’s time I finally pull the trigger. Whitney Beth Photography will be transitioning from a portrait photographer to an exclusively landscape photographer.
I know. I’m as shocked as you. When I started this business I had every intention of keeping this business the same, but things grow and people change.
I started to realize that what I was loving most about this job, was the scenery. I craved to be in the canyons photographing everything, but not everyone. There’s a time and place for portrait photography, but my journey with it ends here. There is something so beautiful and peaceful about an untouched landscape. So majestic and thought provoking.
This isn’t a decision I take lightly. In fact, I know it will come as a shock to most – especially given how much I say I “love my job” – but with this change, I will finally be able to embrace my true potential.
I’d like to share some of the landscapes I’ve been working on this spring. Take a look and let me know your thoughts on these beautiful pieces of art – void of human contribution.
APRIL FOOLS!
Not going to lie, I’ve been sitting on this prank for MONTHS! hahahaha!
Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere! I will continue to photograph people in these beautiful places! I love me a good landscape as much as the next, but adding a moment shared between family members will always take the cake!
Thanks for playing along! Hopefully I didn’t scare you too bad! Happy prank day! (As my 5 year old calls it!)
(And a special thanks to my little brothers for dressing up in camo and helping me out)
