Orchard Extended Family | Huish | Whitney Beth Photography

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful Huish family, and I just had to share the story behind our amazing shoot. Originally, we planned to have their session at the Capitol during peak blossom season. However, this year, the Capitol was the busiest I’ve ever seen. I had a senior session there a few days before, and it was nuts! It was impossible to shoot without people in the background, and that was with just one person, not a big family with 10 people and 2 dogs. I knew it would be too hard to photograph the Huish family in such a crowded place.

Thankfully, this is where having photo friends comes in handy! I was talking with a fellow photographer, and she suggested taking the Huish family to Manning Orchard. She literally saved the day! I contacted the family, and they were all for relocating.

Manning Orchard turned out to be the perfect spot. It was bright, sunny, and free from distractions, making it ideal for the dogs too. The blossoms were in full bloom, creating a beautiful backdrop for the photos. The Huish family and their adorable dogs were so fun to work with.

I loved being able to spend time with the Huish family. The blossoms were perfect, and the shoot seriously couldn’t have gone better. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do.
