Holladay Extended Family Photos | Gammell | Whitney Beth Photography
On the crisp morning the Saturday after Thanksgiving, I had the pleasure of photographing the whole Gammell family at one of my favorite parks in Holladay, Utah. Despite the (freezing) cold and the snow on the ground, the beauty of the park in late fall was undeniable.
One of the most beautiful features of the park was a brilliant orange tree that stubbornly held onto its fall leaves. I knew that this tree would make for a stunning backdrop, especially when backlit by the early morning sun. So, I waited until the end of the session to capture the family in front of it, allowing the sun to get into the perfect position.
To keep the kids entertained and happy throughout the session, I brought along my trusty stuffed bunny. The bunny not only helped hold their attention but also made a guest appearance in some of the photos. (see how many times you can see it!)
Despite the chilly temperatures, the family embraced the cold and the snowy scenery. It was the best time capturing these moments for them – all because of Michelle and Paul. I like to think of photography as modern day family history!
