Little Cottonwood Canyon Family Pictures | McNay | Whitney Beth Photography
We had such a beautiful fall this year! So many vibrant colors, I was in heaven! Melissa found me online and I learned that she has an Instagram account documenting and showing all her favorite hikes! (her account is @8butterfly5 if you want to give her a follow!) Her cute family of boys were so fun to be with! Melissa wanted color and mountains – and with the recent snowfall we had to stick pretty close to the base of the canyon. We stuck to Little Cottonwood Canyon since that was close for both of us. I knew of a little spot that I used to shoot at all the time when I first moved here. After recently rediscovering it, I knew it’d be perfect! We had the place all to ourselves except for a hiker or two. The colors were poppin’! We also got our views of the mountains in too – win/win. Melissa’s little guy was hamming it up and loving all the pictures, attention and leaf throwing – the older boys humored me. Haha! I had so much fun with these guys for their family pictures. Melissa ordered a metal print of their family picture and an album of her favorites and they all look stunning in print!
I blogged some of my favorites from the session. I’d love to take you to this secluded spot for your own family or senior pictures. If this looks like something you’d want as a location for your photos, just send me an email through my “book now” tab!
