Little Cottonwood Canyon Senior Pictures | Kenny | Whitney Beth Photography
Class of 2024, look out! Here comes Kenny! Kenny is one of my younger brothers and I can hardly believe that this year he’ll be graduating from Alta High School. At the beginning of the school year I asked what kind of senior pictures he wanted. Kenny said he wanted fall. I managed to find an open day in both of our busy schedules that would work. I told him about one of my locations up Little Cottonwood Canyon full of golden aspens and golden ferns. In fact, I had just shot there a couple days ago. However, Mother Nature was ready to get a jumpstart on winter and it had snowed the night before. When we got to the spot it was high enough up that all my pretty, golden, ferns were buried under a foot of snow. RIP. We still were able to have a golden ground since half of the aspen leaves had fallen. It made a pretty cool effect! After we finished up in the aspens, I drove us back to the base of the canyon where it was still fall to photograph in the red leaves. Kenny also changed up his outfit a bit and wore his green carheart jacket (that I found him at the Goodwill bins #bestsister). The red and green were an excellent use of complementary colors. I was loving all this one on one sibling time and the photos turned out stunning! I blogged a handful of my favorites – luckily I’m not the one who has to pick a yearbook photo! Scroll through and let me know what you think!
I’d love to take your photos here! This is such a gorgeous location year round and it’s a quick drive from Sandy. Send me a message through my “book now” tab and we can start talking!
