Little Cottonwood Canyon Family Pictures | Robbins | Whitney Beth Photography
Fall photos at this little spot of mine up Little Cottonwood Canyon is one of my absolute favorite places to be. The yellow everywhere is just stunning! Especially when you throw in the orange ferns! Dreamy! This session was extra special since it’s my brother and sister in law, niece and nephew! I’ve pretty much been photographing them every year since I married into the family. Which is one of those cases where we’ve been doing this photoshoot thing for so long, that even little stubborn boys who don’t like pictures cooperate. Haha! They were also one of my mini session before the full session clients – so if you can believe it, we got all of these in 20 minutes (and then some – since I didn’t share every single picture from their gallery.) It was a beautiful evening with amazing, golden light! One of my favorite little “Easter Eggs” about this spot is from a certain shot in the meadow there is a lone pine tree on the hill. Once you notice it, it’s almost all you can see! Towards the end of the shoot I asked Sam to see if he was strong enough to pick up big sis. He enthusiastically and energetically tried, but to no avail. Lindsay on the other hand had no trouble lifting Sam – which resulted in the best smile of the night. I loved my time with them, albeit short, but it was the perfect start to my busy night.
