Mantua Poppy Field Family Pictures | Morrell | Whitney Beth Photography
Poppy season is one of my favorites! We were so lucky this year. I know I sound like a broken record with all of my blog posts, but this year has been so crazy with trying to predict when everything will bloom! The late and wet spring we had pushed everything back at least two weeks. Which wouldn’t be that big of a deal, except I had my mini sessions scheduled on the day I hit 37 weeks pregnant. I didn’t have two weeks to push it back since I literally gave birth two weeks from my mini sessions. Even though we were too early for peak bloom, we were able to have a small patch of poppies and the giant field all to ourselves. The Morrells were troopers and signed up for my earliest slot so Elliot could make it to work on time. We were able to get so many cute shots before our time was up – even with little sis not wanting anything to do with anyone except dad. I love these guys and had so much fun playing games with the kids to get them to warm up to me – as well as literally warm up! It had been raining that night and it was a bit chilly out. We managed to get so many good photos in their quick 15 minute session! Enjoy my favorites!
If you are wanting pictures in the poppies, be sure to send me an email through my “book now” tab. Poppies usually hit peak bloom mid June but I book out for them in April and May of that year.
