Salt Lake City Capital Senior Photos | Alena | Whitney Beth Photography
Alena’s senior pictures were what dreams are made of. I was on blossom watch the whole season and I think we timed her photos perfectly. The Utah State Capital blossoms are something else! (Even if we were dodging all of Utah while taking them!) There really is no other place in Utah with this tunnel effect of Cherry trees. With the late spring we had, I think everyone was more than ready for color and life, so it felt more crowded than normal. It was so much fun getting to know Alena during our shoot! She rocked it on the outfits too! Not only were they all beautiful on her, but they helped complement the scenery – especially her white sweater. The eye lit holes mimicked the shape of the blossoms beautifully. We started shooting near the southwest side of the Utah State Capital and slowly worked our way North. It was tricky with the entire Northside field and courtyard was tore up in construction. The path was still accessible, but the construction fencing made it not as pretty as it could’ve been. Even with all the construction and all the people the session was absolute magic. I could’ve spent hours photographing Alena and am obsessed with every image we captured. Especially the direct sunlight ones! So gorgeous!
If you want photos at the Utah State Capital, the blossoms typically arrive around the end of March and first of April (but the grounds look beautiful after the bloom too) contact me through my “book now” tab and we’ll get a dialogue going!
