Cookbook Club | It’s a Flavorful Life | Whitney Beth Photography
Last year a friend asked me if I wanted to join her cookbook club she was starting. I actually hate cooking (lol) but I thought that this might help get me to like it more… well, I’m now in my second year of doing it, and while I still actually don’t enjoy cooking, I love the company and trying new things. (How’s that for an honest opinion haha!) The just of cookbook club is we all take turns hosting and picking a cookbook everyone makes something from. Then we come together and eat! My kind of party! This month was my turn to host and I chose recipes from “It’s a Flavorful Life.”
I actually went to high school and sort of grew up with Ericka (owner and operator of It’s a Flavorful Life) so it was fun to have that personal connection with what we were making. She’s also a registered dietitian and an excellent follow on Instagram. She’s so good at crushing diet culture rumors and teaching that it can be good for you and good (as in tasty!) to fuel your body with what it needs.
I’m also a sucker for a dinner party and used it as an excuse to bust out my table cloths and make some flower arrangements. I also made the candlestick holders literally 3 hours before the party because I am an excellent judge of time management. It all came together beautifully and the food was amazing! So many things that I will be making again and adding to our dinner rotation.
If you want to check out more of Ericka and her food you can find her on Instagram or her website.
