Can we just take a second to appreciate how freaking cute the Bray family is?! Their outfits and this location was perfect! Funny enough, this shoot was originally supposed to be a morning shoot at Storm Mountain Park up Big Cottonwood Canyon. The day before the session we learned that the Big Cottonwood Canyon Marathon was being held in the morning the day of our shoot! So we pivoted and instead hit up Potato Hill for a sunrise shoot. Most people go to Potato Hill for the sunset across the valley, but I actually love it just as much for a sunrise shoot.
It was pretty smokey the day before and some of the smoke still hung out in the sky – but it gave us yummy pink and blue cotton candy skies! Kara did such a great job finding outfits that looked amazing on and with the scenery. We were even able to use the rock at the lookout point to give a “storm mountain vibe” to their pictures. I’m obsessed with how their photos turned out and am so happy I could take them!
