Hey there, friends! Today, I’m excited to share with you a special senior session I photographed in Downtown Salt Lake City at Pierpont Avenue. Pierpont holds a special place in my heart, as I used to shoot there all the time during college while interning for one of my professors. Her loft studio apartment was literally on the corner in one of the buildings. When Ashten mentioned he wanted an urban look for his senior photos, I knew Pierpont would be the perfect location to revisit.
We started the session with just Ashten, but I couldn’t resist convincing his mom and sister to jump in for a few frames. The quiet streets and occasional pedestrians made for a perfect backdrop, and the overcast sky acted as a natural diffuser, allowing us to shoot wherever we pleased.
Ashten had mentioned at the start of the photoshoot that he wasn’t photogenic, but I beg to differ! Just look at how great he looks in the photos. During the shoot, I kept getting glimpses of a young Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo and Juliet. Do you see it?
Overall, it was a fantastic session filled with laughter and great shots. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture Ashten’s senior photos in such a unique and special location. Here’s to more urban adventures and stunning photos!
