Sophie was channeling major Taylor Swift and Kirsten Dunst vibes at her senior session a few weeks ago. Sophie requested aspens and water and I had the perfect spot for it up Little Cottonwood Canyon. We were racing against a rain storm – which ended up being perfect! Sophie loves cloudy, stormy, rainy weather. Our timing was impeccable with the rain only starting to fall towards the end of the session. If you zoom into the shots of Sophie in the meadow you can see the rain falling! I had such a lovely time with Sophie and her mom, Amy! We even got a few shots of the two of them together. Taking photos in the rain totally brought me back to my Oregon roots. I just love how the rain makes the colors so vibrant, especially Sophie’s dress!
