My Lilac Maternity Pictures | Whitney Beth Photography

I am a very stubborn person and thrive on routine and tradition – so despite this being my 5th delivery, I drug my family out to the lilacs to have our maternity pictures taken. I have taken them with each of my boys in whatever was “in bloom” during that season. My hired my cute friend Brooke Janette Photography to photograph this milestone for us. I have so many talented friends that I have been working my way through them for all my photo needs! Everyone is a little bit different and it’s like collecting different pieces of art for my home.
Lilacs are some of my favorite flowers – the smell, the color, the shape, the way they remind me of my grandma’s house, I love them. I have wanted to do a photoshoot in the lilacs for forever! Originally I was planning on doing my maternity pictures with Remington in the lilacs two years ago, but they bloomed too fast and it didn’t work with how far along I wanted to be. It was ok though, because I got to have them taken in the yellow wildflowers! But when I found out this little one’s due date was just a week before Remmy’s birthday and I would be pregnant at virtually the same time, just two years in the future, I knew it was my chance. With all the rain we’ve gotten this year I had never seen the lilacs so full and vibrant! It more than made up for their early arrival two years ago! We shot at the American Fork Amphitheater and it was perfect! I love this little family of mine and can’t wait to welcome baby boy into the mix of things.
