Holladay Senior Pictures | Amanda | Whitney Beth Photography
This senior session was seriously what dreams are made of. Amanda booked me for her senior pictures back in February. When I asked if she had any location requests or a vibe she was trying to fit, all she said was that she didn’t want to be cold and didn’t want snow. Given any other year, this wouldn’t have been a problem, but with our abnormally long winter by the time April and May were rolling around, I was getting a bit nervous. Thankfully we had nothing to be nervous about! On a location scouting day, I remembered a little spot I had driven past when my husband and I only had one car and I would drive him to work. It was on my way to another park to scope out any signs of life. I stopped to check it out and was delighted to find it was full of grape hyacinths, dandelions and green grass and leaves! It was a stunning little oasis and every bit as magical as I remember. I sent Amanda pics of it as well as the other park since they were close enough together and allowed for more variety in the session. I was so happy to hear that they loved the look of it and wanted to shoot there! It was a dream! Beautiful light, beautiful girl, flowers everywhere, I could’ve stayed there all day! It was such a welcome relief to be warm, among flowers and doing what I love. And it showed, because when it came time to narrowing down Amanda’s photos, she and her mom only had one in the “no” pile. Haha! They ended up getting them all! I ended up blogging my favorites from the session (and to spare you scrolling through 88 images!) Take a look and leave Amanda some love as she ventures off to the next chapter of her life!
