Saltair Senior Session | Hailey | Whitney Beth Photography
It is senior season and I am here for it! These poor seniors have waited for winter to cool her jets so they could document their final year of high school without any snow. When we were planning Hailey’s session, she told me she didn’t want a “typical senior session” and that she loved the look of the salt flats and Saltair. Since Saltair is so much closer, it won for the location and we scheduled the date. Luckily the snow had melted just days before the shoot and we were in the clear! The one thing I forgot to check was if there was a concert at Saltair! We ended up changing dates and the original date was in the clear – the new date… not so much. So we drove down the frontage road until we found a spot to pull off and walk out to. It ended up being perfect! We had the place practically to ourselves (except for a couple of brides who had the same problem.) It was a little chilly, but I was so thankful for the cold since a couple days later it warmed up and alllll the bugs came out! Since Hailey wanted her senior pictures to be unique, I brought my prism and we used it for a handful of shots. Those ended up being our favorites of the night!
If you want photos taken at Saltair, feel free to contact me through my “book now” tab. The best times to shoot here are in April and October/November when it’s too cold for the bugs to come out!
