Draper Portraits | Hannah + Jane the dog | Whitney Beth Photography
If you ever wonder and think to myself, “Would Whitney be ok if I brought my dog to our session?” The answer will forever and always be, “Yes!” In fact, I encourage it! Every year I get to photograph Hannah and Jane together and it is my favorite thing of all time. Hannah always looks like a million bucks and Jane tolerates the bows and posing. (Secretly she loves it – and me. ha!) This year Hannah and Jane were due to have a slot of my mini sessions, but they couldn’t make it work. So we set up a time to photograph just them one cold, snowy morning in December.
I may not love the cold, but if there’s sun involved it can give a beautiful effect. We took pictures on the Draper school house grounds and it was perfect. The yellow from the building mixed with their outfits and the morning sun was perfect! My favorite was at the end I had Hannah spin Jane around, slow motion, like they were in a music video. If looks could kill, Jane would’ve done me in. They turned out hilarious and reminded me of all the times I’ve used that trick on crying kids. When their back is to the camera, you can’t tell they’re sad. Same goes with dogs. lol. Enjoy my favorites from the shoot!
